Biography

Illinois’ 16th District State Representative Kevin John Olickal proudly serves Skokie, Lincolnwood, and the Chicago neighborhoods of West Ridge, West Rogers Park, Andersonville, Arcadia Terrace, and Little India. The 16th District is the most diverse House district in the state of Illinois. That’s why as State Representative, Kevin has introduced and supported diverse and inclusive legislation that will move our community forward.

Raised in Skokie by immigrant parents, Representative Kevin Olickal is committed to providing our community with the kind of effective and proactive leadership we need and deserve. He is determined to ensure that all residents of our District are given equal opportunities regardless of their income level, race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation. Rep. Olickal will continue to place priority on building coalitions with trusted stakeholders in our community to lead our district with conviction, inclusion, and transparency. A graduate of Ohio State University and a part-time law student at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Rep. Olickal has spent his entire professional career in the organizing, non-profit, political, and government sphere and is looking forward to continuing that work in the 16th District.
